Pride of Madeira
Once arriving into town, I had to drive immediately to Cambria's Moonstone Beach, but it wasn't the Pacific Ocean's crashing waves or the undulating sound of the tides that ended up capturing my attention. I was pleasantly surprised to see banks and banks of these huge, gorgeous, brightly hued blooming bushes called Echium Candicans, or "The Pride of Madeira". They were easily 7 feet tall, and just as wide. Hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies were busy with the plants from dawn to dusk. Where do you look first: the flowers or the sea?
